Booking Process and Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all safari bookings and travel arrangements made with Serengeti Sarabi safaris. By confirming a booking, the client agrees to the terms outlined below.

1. Bookings & Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed once we receive the required deposit and issue a written confirmation. All travel details, including itinerary, accommodations, and travel dates, will be finalized at the time of confirmation.

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your safari booking.
  • The remaining balance must be paid before the safari start date, as specified in your booking confirmation.
  • Failure to complete payment within the agreed timeline may result in cancellation of services without refund.

Safari prices are quoted based on the itinerary agreed upon and include only the services

explicitly mentioned. Any services not listed such as personal expenses, visas, travel insurance, tips, or optional activities are excluded unless stated otherwise.

Prices are subject to change due to factors beyond our control, including park fee adjustments, government taxes, fuel costs, or exchange rate fluctuations.

Cancellation Fees for Safaris and Zanzibar Beach Holidays:

  • 40 to 49 days before the start date:

A cancellation fee of 20% of the total safari cost will apply.

  • 30 to 39 days before the start date:

A cancellation fee of 50% of the total safari cost will apply.

  • 15 to 29 days before the start date:

A cancellation fee of 75% of the total safari cost will apply.

  • Within 14 days of the start date or no-show:

No refund will be provided.

All refund decisions are made in accordance with supplier terms and will be communicated in writing.

While we aim to operate safaris as planned, we reserve the right to make necessary changes to routes, accommodations, or activities due to weather conditions, wildlife movements, safety

concerns, or operational reasons. Any such changes will be made with the client’s best interests in mind.

Clients are responsible for ensuring they hold valid passports, visas, vaccinations, and any required travel documentation. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and evacuation.

Serengeti Sarabi safaris acts as a tour operator and coordinates services provided by independent suppliers such as lodges, transport providers, and park authorities. We are not responsible for injury, loss, damage, delay, or expense caused by circumstances beyond our direct control, including but not limited to weather, wildlife behavior, road conditions, or acts of nature.

Participation in safari activities involves inherent risks, and clients accept these risks upon booking.

Clients are expected to follow guide instructions, park regulations, and local laws at all times. We reserve the right to remove any client from a safari without refund if their behavior compromises safety, wildlife conservation, or the experience of others.

We shall not be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising shall be handled under Tanzanian jurisdiction.

By confirming a booking and making payment, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.
